So I downloaded and installed GTA5 via the Epic Games shop. I play games on my PC using a PS4 DualShock controller. And so I get into game and I start playing the intro level. Everything seems to be working via the controller except R2 leaving me without the ability to shoot my blasted gun! I checked via the mouse and that works. But not on the controller. All other buttons and action work via the controller, merely cant shoot. Any ideas? What gives? Thanks for any and all help with this one.

Information technology will only work on steam unless y'all download tertiary party software. Similar ds4windows etc

Can you bulldoze with R2, I mean accelerate? Does the car go faster or does it maintain a sure speed for whatsoever vehicle? Information technology may be the controller if it is the latter

Do you accept DS4Windows installed?
This has really acquired problems for me on Epic's launcher. I oasis't played GTA on there, but almost games simply have DS4 support without DS4Windows and having that running too just fucks things upwardly. Had to plough information technology off to play SnowRunner today because it was causing issues.

Not sure how EGS will change things but I own GTA V on the Rockstar Launcher itself and when I launch it through Steam as a Non-Steam-Game information technology works only fine with my DS4 v2 in wireless mode so effort this.

I've been playing information technology with a DualShock without ds4 on
It still uses Xbox prompts for whatever reason simply yeah the triggers are working as well, no issue this far

Yous can add information technology to Steam and utilise Steam Input that way, or gear up the desktop configuration to xinput gamepad so any game tin can register inputs from it.

Practise you have DS4Windows installed? I find it necessary for many games non running through Steam. You should as well be able to verify in the app here that your R2 push is working correctly. It'southward besides possible you have an issue like I've had using an older controller on a couple of PS4 games where the trigger wouldn't be recognized or wouldn't go to full throttle because it no longer reads as fully pressed. I haven't played GTA on EGS yet but every other game that supports controllers I've managed to get working this way, worst case with Xbox push prompts.

DS4 doesn't use Xinput, so its hitting or miss. My proffer would be add the game to steam and use Steam's controller configuration to play it. You lot can even add gyro aiming that manner!
